Divorce Wisely!  The Mediation Choice is the correct one, and the reasons are obvious.

Mediation is an alternative to the adversarial divorce scenario.

Mediation reduces pain and bitterness which can be exacerbated in litigated divorce and avoids the win-lose approach of the adversarial divorce.

Sandra Adelson, Esq., Family & Divorce Mediation Services prides itself on helping families resolve their differences. My goal is to bring people to the table to successfully settle their disagreements and reach closure. A mediator acts as a neutral to serve all parties in legal disputes.  mediate conflicts that have not reached the litigation stage such as divorce, family and property divisions, custody matters, separation, and estate issues.

What is Mediation?

Mediation is an alternative to the adversarial divorce scenario.

Mediation reduces pain and bitterness which can be exacerbated in litigated divorce and avoids the win-lose approach of the adversarial divorce.

How does Mediation work?

Mediation is a voluntary and private settlement process with an emphasis on informed decision making and mutual problem solving.  An impartial mediator helps the parties clarify their disputes, communicate clearly, determine their needs and interests, consider options for settlement, and reach fair agreements.

What does Mediation accomplish?

1)      Mediation saves money for the parties.

2)      Mediation allows you to be in control of the legal outcome.

3)      Mediation is proven to be easier on the children in divorce and prevents exposure to

negative statements about one parent or both.

4)      Mediation helps everyone manage emotions and maintain dignity through the mediation process.

5)      Mediation is confidential.

Family and Divorce Mediation Services is founded on the basic principle that the best path to resolution is reached through effective communication in order for each spouse to mediate a final settlement of all related divorce issues.

The mediator meets together with you and your spouse, and prepares a Memorandum of Understanding.  A Separation Agreement and Divorce Papers can be quickly drafted from the Memorandum of Understanding. There is no litigation; there are no courtrooms.
